New, improved version of the biggest-selling Titanium custom metalwoods in golf. The new Titanium 260CM Drivers and Fairway Woods feature computer-modeled faces and soles that are forged instead of investment cast to maximize the energy transfer at impact.

Research and testing by Golfsmith's technical team has shown that by forging titanium and reducing the face thicknesses to 2.7mm, the face deflection of the Titanium 260 CM is twice that of a 15-5 stainless steel club with a 3mm-thick face.

Golfsmith Ti-Steel 465

The new Ti-Steel 465 combines a true forged face from a super high strength steel, CarpenterCustom 465, welded to a 17-4 stainless steel body. The reuslt is a clubhead engineered to maximize deflection and achieve maximum distance for players with swing speeds ranging between 95 and 100 mph.

Custom 465 has a titanium content of over 1.5 percent which is unusually high for a steel alloy. The presence of titanium, along with a higher content of chromium and molybdenum, allows the alloy to be heat-treated to a yield strength of 250,000 psi. The forging of the face allows the material to reach its highest potential strength.

With its higher strength, the Ti-Steel 465 can be manufactured with a 2.2 mm face thickness in the driver and 1.95 mm in the 3 Wood creating the greatest amount of face deflection offered in this catalog.

Golfsmith Cermet 2000 New improved finish!
Ceramic-Metal Matrix Composite (MMC) is a unique material that incorporates boron carbide ceramic particles in with the metal casting. The results is a composite metal with a strength-to-weight ratio 16 percent higher that that of 6AL-4V titanium.

By floating the boron carbide material on the outer portions of the head, Cermet drivers exhibit greater perimeter weigthing -- off-center hits toward the toe and heel feel virtually the same as an on-center impact and generate significantly less twisting.

XPC3 Rough Rider
XPC3 Rough Riders featue the same XPC3 styling to complement the XPC3 drivers and irons in seven ultra-playable lofts.

The shallow face of the Rough Rider design imparts greater playability by lowering the clubhead's center of gravity at impact well below that of conventional metal woods. This lower CG results in higher launch angles and generates greater backspin and less sidespin on the ball. What this means is more accuracy and super playable fairway woods.

New 9.5 and 11 degree loft models double as easy-to-hit drivers for slower swinging, mid to high handicap players, or as super-long-distance fairway woods for lower-handicap, faster-swinging players.

Lady XPC3 Offset
Lady XPC3 Offset metal woods take the same design that made the XPC3 metal wood an overwhelming success and adds two features that are perfectly suited for many women players: offset hosel and low-profile face designs.

The offset hosel and a 1 degree closed face angle give the player an extra split second to square the face at impact. This helps reduce the tendency to push or slice the ball.

Lower profile face design gives the illusion that the ball is sitting up higher, giving the player confidence and making the ball easier to hit from any lie.
